Service Description

Sunday Afternoon Yin - 'Go Slowly' Join me in the studio for an extended practice to be able to fully enjoy and rest into the practice of yin. Qualities of patience, of softening, and of allowing are drawn upon within this practice. We close this session with beautiful sound from crystal bowls. And a rose tea and moment to connect and leave slowly if you wish to. During the the lead up towards Christmas, we can find ourselves racing at a time when the natural rhythm of the season is in fact to slow down. The practice of yin reminds us that there is always a balance to be found, and that moving slowly and resting tired muscles and minds is equally important. In yin, poses are held for a good length of time; most of them are floor based and supported where needed. The effect is to begin to work deeply within the body, rebalancing our bodies energy and encouraging good health of connective tissue, bones and joints. The mindfulness aspect of staying in a pose and simply watching has a profound effect on the mind, offering a sense of peace and stillness and ability to sit and be with what is.
